Last week we saw 3 cows with their necks hung across the top of a single wagon ----helping themselves to some corn. This must certainly be a very great nuisance to farmers who come into town and leave their wagons at the square. They are obliged to constantly keep watch, for fear of having the contents devoured by these half-fed critters. There should be something done by the city in this matter.

Union Township: Mrs. Martha Wilson died last week.

Married on Thursday, December 13th, at the residence of the brides's parents, by Rev. J. Shearer, was Mr. Phillip W. Hastie, of Warren County and Miss Janna Kennedy of Madison County.
