C.H. HARBACK was over before the pension board last week to be examined for an increase of pension. He certainly deserves all the government can be induced to give him and we hope his application will meet with the approval of the powers.

--Mrs. J. E. ROGERS goes to Sheldon to visit her sister.
--Odebolt Chronicle: Lowe BARKLEY, of Levey township, foolishly left for Canada last week. He left a number of creditors, all of whom he could have paid had he stayed and cared for his property. It is said that he was frightened away by threats of criminal prosecution from parties who had been trying to extract money from him. He really was in no danger.
