November 28th, and her funeral was attended by a large circle of mourning
friends. Deceased was born in England. She leaves a husband and four

HEEMSTRA—FISHER: At the residence of the groom’s parents, Mr. John Heemstra
to Miss Maggie Fisher, by the Rev. Mr. Bolks, on last Friday.
The above chronicles the marriage of a very worthy young farmer to a very
worthy young lady, and we hope success, prosperity, and happiness to attend
them. After the ceremony friends congratulated the couple and in the evening
about 30 couples gathered together and helped to pass the evening in
hilarity and fun making.
Fred Mohren will give, or hold, a shooting match at his saloon on Tuesday of
next week, Christmas, when glass balls and turkeys will be shot at. He will
also have turkeys on hand to be raffled for. Tom and Jerry, Egg Nog, Cigars,
St. Paul beer, etc., on hand. A grand time is promised all who attend, and a
cordial invitation is given.
