wife of Marshall T. Williams, formerly of Rocky Hill.

Obituary
Died in this city, on Friday the 2d inst., Margaret A., consort
of Lyman Chittenden, and daughter of Samuel E. Barr, Esq., of
this place. Margaret A. Barr was born at Fort McAllavey,
Huntington county, State of Pennsylvania, on the 30th day of
August, 1844, and was at the time of her decease, aged 16 years,
11 months and 2 days. She was married on the 30th day of April
last. Her mother, Margaret Barr, departed this life December 4th,
1847, in Birmington, Van Buren county, Iowa.

EDITORS SOLDIERING
We were pleased to meet in our city the past week, J. W.
Pattison, Editor of the Iowaian of Sidney, Iowa, and Mr.
Irwin, Editor of the Falls City Broad Axe of Falls City,
Nebraska. They were on the "expedition". The former,
first Lieutenant of the "Sidney Greys" and the latter,
a member of the "Falls City Guards". Both, of course,
sound Union men, and full of fight.

A Defaulter.
The 'Iowa Register says, that Thomas Sargeant, United States
Receiver, at Fort Dodge, is a defaulter in the sum of $4,309, and
upon the arrival of P.F. Wilson, special agent of the Treasury
Department, he not only refused to make any effort to settle, but
openly defied the authority of the Government.
